In Google Maps, open the place, tap Share, and choose Spots. Spots opens with the place filled in; add a tag and save.
Tap + and choose Add several. Paste a clean list with one place per line and add the town to help the search. With Pro you can also put them in an Outing. Spots looks each one up, then you check the matches and add them in one step.
Spots couldn’t match an address or place a pin. Tap Fix on the Spot’s card, or tap the warning bar to fix them all in Settings → Address Maintenance.
Connected to Google Drive, your Spots are saved there and stay in sync on every device you sign in on. You can join a list someone shares with you for free; sharing your own list is part of Pro.
In Preferences, set Geocoding Service to Google and turn on Import Descriptions from Google. After that, picking a Google result fills in “From Google:” automatically. For a Spot you already have, open Edit and tap Get from Google.
Google had no description for that listing when Spots asked. Tap Retry to ask again, or tap the text to write your own. If the field is missing, turn on Import Descriptions from Google in Preferences.
Link all matches each Spot to its Google Maps listing, so “View in Google Maps app” opens the exact place. Fill all then brings in Google’s description and rating for Spots that are already linked. Run Link all first. Both are in Settings → Address Maintenance, and Get from Google in a Spot’s edit panel does both for that one Spot.
Outings are part of Pro. An Outing groups Spots for a day trip or a walk, with notes, from both Eat & Drink and Places to Go. Tap Outings at the top to see them. Add a Spot to an Outing in its edit form, or select Spots and tap the Outing button. Deleting an Outing keeps its Spots.
Outings, Google search when adding a Spot, the Google map on the Map tab, descriptions and ratings from Google, and sharing your Spots with others.
